I love smash burgers. I cannot understand why it took so long for the Hamburger Industrial Complex to start selling them, but they are my new favorite way to consume ground beef on a bun.

However, I don’t want to see a smash burger in the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs were smashed and grilled all night long last night in New Orleans and it was as boring as it was surprising. They were burnt to a crisp and thrown in the trash after three quarters.

It was an embarrassing night for a team looking to win its third straight Super Bowl. I mean, you can watch a regular-season game between the best team in the league and the worst team in the league and not see a one-sided disaster as bad as this one.
